I have a few cheapie pads and a couple metal TX-1000's they do the job but I'm hunting for something better. Probably go Cobalt Flux or Red Octane

Red Octane if you want the nicest soft pads. But if you're going to go with hard pads, Cobalt Flux is the way to go. Soft pads don't get better than Red Octane, and hard pads don't get better than Cobalt Flux. So whichever you want will do fine.

I'd suggest you go with a Cobalt Flux though. But that's just me, as they are hyper sensitive, they'll last forever, and you can wear your shoes and they make cool tapping sounds :-p

Cobalt Flux had a special 2-pad deal. I think you save around 50-100 bucks. Can't remember exactly.

Is it packed with the console or sold separately?
Thanks
